Trapp Cabin 5 K, 10 K, and half marathon

July 21, 2020 – We had to make the difficult decision and cancel the 2020 Trapp Cabin Race. All 2020 race entries to the Trapp Cabin race will be moved to 2021 event. We are sorry not to be able to offer any refunds, and thank you for your patience and understanding.

We invite you to consider participating in the Heady Trotter, which will take place virtually this year but will be a great opportunity to be active with friends and family.

Race Description

Join us for the 10th edition of this idyllic event! Beginning and ending in the Trapp Family Lodge Meadow, the races wind through 800 vertical feet of idyllic forest, bubbling streams, and wildflowers. The races follow a dirt road briefly before merging with double track cross-country trails. The 5K follows Lodge Spur to Luce Hill Loop, following the single track trail back to the finish. The 10K continues on to Tap Line, follows Chris’s Run to the cabin and returns on Growler and Tap Line to the finish. The half-marathon does a double-loop of the 10.5K and offers runners a perfect opportunity to train for the upcoming Trapp Mountain Marathon. These beautiful trails are not accessible to the general public so this is a special opportunity to run in a unique location.

Additional Information

Award presentations will follow the race, with plenty of free refreshments, a race number raffle, and prizes to the top 3 female and male runners in open and masters categories for each distance. Free parking. Restrooms in the Outdoor Center open to race participants. Please register and pick up bibs 15 minutes before the start of your race. Walkers welcome.
