The Heady Trotter attracts hundreds of runners of all abilities from across the country, AND raises important funds for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. GMAS uses the proceeds to provide scholarships to Vermonters with disabilities wishing to participate in GMAS adaptive sport programs. The race starts and finishes in front of the Alchemist Brewery and Visitor Center at 100 Cottage Club Road, Stowe, Vermont. Participants can form teams to run with friends and family, or run individually. If you are an adaptive athlete and wish to participate, contact us for more details and a special offer at info@greenmtnadaptive.org.

We are excited that thanks to the generous contributions from families and individuals through their VCF giving accounts, the Vermont Community Foundation is doubling the impact of your support. Every dollar raised through this year’s Heady Trotter race for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports will be matched, up to $10,000. Anyone donating $25 or more will also receive a special prize.

We will also be raffling off a one of a kind custom-made Heady Trotter Ski Chair after the completion of the Heady Trotter race. Come by the Green Mountain Adaptive Sports tent to purchase raffle tickets at the event.

If you prefer, you can purchase your raffle tickets online now! There is no need to be participate in the race or to be present to win, but the winner will need to pick up the chair, this item cannot be shipped. 100% of the sales of the raffle tickets will go toward funding athlete scholarships and adaptive equipment for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports program participants. Volunteer
If you cannot run, but want to help out and be a part of this fun event, join us as a volunteer! We need people to help sell raffle tickets, hand out bibs, and work as course marshal to direct the runners on October 16-18. All volunteers get swag, beer and more. Chose your position and time to volunteer by signing up online. Thanks for your help!
