Patrick Lewis and Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS) have had a decade long relationship, and as of June 2023, Patrick, who runs Purely Patrick, is donating $2 from the sale of every one of his new cookie mixes to GMAS.

For over a decade, Patrick has been granted annual scholarships by Green Mountain Adaptive Sports to participate in adaptive skiing, providing Patrick (and the rest of the family) a wonderful experience that they could not otherwise afford. GMAS has also provided Patrick scholarships for adaptive paddle boarding, which was great benefit for his core and balance workouts, as well as great fun splashing in the lake.

Now, Patrick is paying it forward through the sale of the Mud Season Munchies, a cookie mix engineered by his mom Mary Anne Lewis (who is also a member of the GMAS Board of Directors) through his company, named Purely Patrick.

Mud season Munchies cookies This scrumptious cookie, made out of milk chocolate, white chocolate, and toffee covers all the bases and has a nice little crunch to it. All that needs to be added to the cookie mix is butter and an egg. It is the perfect cookie for any occasion.

The mix is available for purchase, along with many other delicious treats on the Purely Patrick webpage.

About Purely Patrick

Patrick Lewis has cerebral palsy and is blind. Despite all odds, he is an entrepreneur selling his own gourmet speciality treats.

Patrick was born 3 1/2 months premature. He was a “fighter” and a “lover” from the very beginning. As he grew, so did his list of diagnosis, but the family soon learned to look past those and see Patrick for who he is.

Patrick has used “switches” to control his environment for a long time. He has one switch that controls his music, another that turns on his fan and another that runs his blender. He also has another switch that is hooked up to a measuring cup on the end of a gooseneck. Patrick has used this device for years to help water the plants, help pour the milk for a milkshake, etc.

Patrick Skiing with his family at StoweHis mom, being an Occupational Therapist, was constantly thinking of other ways that Patrick could use his switches. It then came to her that he could make layered jars of cookies, soups, etc., using his “pouring switch.” And thus, Purely Patrick was born.

Stock Up on Cookies

Patrick has done a very successful similar fundraiser in the past. Through the sale of the infamous Grandma Jo Snickerdoodles cookie mix, he donated $2 for every jar sold to the Vermont Walk to End Alzheimer’s in honor of his grand mother.

Patrick and his family wish to continue this very meaningful endeavor, and their mission to give back. GMAS is extremely grateful that they recently selected Green Mountain Adaptive Sports as the recipient of the sale of this new delicious cookie mix. Thank you!
