3 Women at the Zumba-thonThe 2019 ONE LOVE ZUMBA® Dance Party fundraiser held at the Shelburne Town Hall gymnasium on Sunday, February 10th, 2019 was a huge success.

The event kicked off with instructors Jen and Christian Pinollos leading a class beginning at 12:30pm for people with disabilities.

Over the past two years, thanks to the generous of all dancers and instructors, the event has raised close to $3,000 to benefit Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

Zumba® Fitness combines Latin and international music with a fun and effective dance workout. The dance, often referred to as ‘exercise-in-disguise,” is dynamic, exciting, fun and easy to follow for people of all ages.

In the past two years, local Zumba® instructors Jennifer Niles and Regina Patterson and another dozen area instructors have volunteered to lead both the dance and the clinic, and invited participants to collect donations from friends and family to benefit Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

Prior to the event, Executive Director, Cynthia Needham commented, “We are very excited to host the 2019 Second Annual Zumba-thon this winter and truly appreciate Jennifer and Regina’s generous contributions to lead the participants. We hope to pack the dance floor with participants of all ages, and raise funds to help us continue our mission.” And pack the house we did!

The annual event is open to the public and all are encouraged to participate. Participants simply need to bring athletic shoes, a water bottle and a smile! A $20 suggested donation is collected at the door.
