We want to thank everyone who donated during this Season of Giving. Together, we are keeping the Green Mountain Adaptive Sports Vision alive, and can continue to provide programming for youth and adults living with a disability in our greater community.

Thanks to the support of our many generous donors, and funds raised through events such as the Heady Trotter, the Trapp Cabin Trail Races, and #GivingTuesday, we are able to offer more scholarships than in years past.

Over 50 individuals donated along with a highly successful #GivingTuesday Snowvember Celebration hosted by Sushi Yoshi. Nate Freund and the wonderful staff at the restaurant in Stowe donated 25% of their sales from the day to GMAS, along with welcoming our volunteers and supporters for a fun-filled evening.

GMAS’s raffle, held in conjunction with the Sushi Yoshi event, benefited from donations from both local and national organizations. Our thanks go out to those who donated items for the raffle – Kate Carpenter from Stowe Kitchen, Bath, and Linens; Barbara Bauman; Hoka; Mary Anne and Patrick Lewis from Purely Patrick; Epic Promise; Green Envy; and Darn Tough.

Thanks to all, GMAS raised over $6000 on #GivingTuesday, which will go a long way toward supporting both our adaptive scholarships and our expanded efforts to build adaptive coaching capacity within our region.

GMAS Receives Directed Donation from WAWOS

GMAS is proud to announce that we have received a grant from WAWOS (We’re All Working on Something), which is based in San Francisco. Founded by Jacquie Robison, the mission of WAWOS is supporting and celebrating children with cerebral palsy and related neuromuscular delays. Jacquie founded the organization after her daughter, Sophia, was born with CP. The award is made through the WAWOS Wishes Program, and is made to small organizations like GMAS, which are working to support participation in sports and recreation that grow skills, build relationships, and foster inclusion. The grant will be used to support three athletes with CP and/or other developmental delays in 2022 who are participating in one of our partner programs. We will keep you posted!

It is never too late to make a donation. Every dime is greatly appreciated and directly benefits all of scholarship recipients. Thank you!
