Green Mountain Adaptive Sports is helping coordinate a two-day adaptive ski trip for veterans of the Wounded Warrior Project at Stowe Mountain Resort on February 28th, and March 1st, 2023.

The Wounded Warrior Project reached out late July to discuss options for an adaptive ski trip for members of the organization. Green Mountain Adaptive Sports jumped at the opportunity to help piece together what should be a most memorable experience for the veterans in Stowe.

The event will provide eight warriors with adaptive ski lessons from instructors and assistants from the Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers, Stowe Mountain Resort, and some volunteers from Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

The warriors and their families will stay at The Lodge at the bottom of the slopes at Spruce Peak, and share their time between the ski hill, the pool, the gym, and Stowe Rocks where they will enjoy adaptive indoor climbing lessons.

Green Mountain Adaptive Sports is honored to be part of what we hope will become an annual event in Stowe.
