Ski and Ride at Stowe or Smuggs
Make Dreams Come True.
Green Mountain Adaptive Sports sponsors Vermont youth and adults with disabilities so they can explore the wonders of skiing and riding at Stowe Mountain Resort. This program is made possible, in part by a partnership with the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation.
NEW for 2026, applicants can also choose to take their lessons at Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort.
Athletes can apply for a series of adaptive lessons provided by the specially trained adaptive instructors at each of the resorts, or for a day, or season pass to enjoy independent skiing and riding at the resort with family and friends.
Rental equipment is also available if needed and generously supplied by Pinnacle Ski and Sports in Stowe. We are accepting applications from Vermont residents until October 10th.
Non-Vermont residents visiting Stowe can also schedule adaptive ski lessons at Stowe Mountain Resort by contacting the Ski and Ride School directly at 802 253 3000.
Stowe TetraSki and Snow’Kart
We are super excited to be able to also provide ski lessons in the Stowe TetraSki and the Snow’Kart for people with complex disabilities. This program is fully managed and administered by Green Mountain Adaptive Sports at Stowe Mountain Resort. Read more about the program HERE. If you are a candidate for both programs, and a Vermonter living with a disability, you can also apply for the regular GMAS Ski and Ride program on the form below.
