The 13th Annual Stowe Monoski Camp was a fabulous success this Jan 12, 2025 at Stowe Mountain Resort, attracting 28 monoskiers, making this the largest event of its kind in North America.

Most of the athletes, coaches and volunteers traveled to Stowe on Saturday, many attending the Welcome Dinner hosted at the Trapp Bierhall before getting a good night sleep in the spacious apartments generously donated by the Green Mountain Inn.

Beginner monoskiers joined one-on-one lessons, and novice monoskiers joined small group clinics led by PSIA-AASI certified instructors, including 4 monoskiers. One athlete also got to ski in the TetraSki with our instructors.

The more experienced and advanced monoskiers joined group clinics led by Geoff Krill, Adaptive Examiner for the PSIA-AASI Eastern Division and Training Manager for the Loon Ski and Snowboard School, and by Chris Young, World Cup and Paralympic Champion, X Games Champion, and volunteer at the Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers.

A day full of Collaboration

Two monoskiers mirror each other making arc turns down the ski hill. This special event is about bringing monoskiers together to ski and learn from each other, but it is also so much more. This is a collaborative event, meaning that annually, Green Mountain Adaptive Sports welcomes, and encourages other adaptive programs, and interested volunteers to join force and be a part of the Stowe Monoski Camp. Once together, a wealth of knowledge is exchanged between all participants, making this a most special experience for all involved.

This year, members of Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers, Stowe Mountain Resort, Adaptive Sports Partners, Move United Sport, and the Adaptive Sports Foundation joined forces to share adaptive equipment, and to led and assist in lessons.
