Registration is now open for people wishing to participate in the new Stowe TetraSki and Snow’Kart Ski Program at Stowe Mountain Resort.

A lot of sweat equity went into making this program happen, and thanks to an incredible partnership between Green Mountain Adaptive Sports (GMAS) and our friends at Northeast Disabled Athletic Association (NDAA), we are proud to own one of the 25 TetraSkis in the world, and the first in Vermont.

This adaptive ski program runs independently from the resort’s ski school. The Stowe TetraSki and Snow’Kart private lessons are administered and run through our own certified trained instructors and take place three days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in half, or full day shifts. Times are 9am-12pm, and 1pm-4pm from early January to late March.

Skier operating a Snow'KartBoth skis offer people with complex disability an opportunity to ski independently, using a joystick, or the sip and puff technology in the TetraSki, and the Easy Drive Kit in the Snow’Kart to control the speed and direction of the skis. Read more about the program and the technologies, and see if you could be a candidate.

We are accepting applications from October 22nd to November 15th, or until we are full. Space is limited and lessons are awarded on a first come first serve basis. There is a $25 registration fee, but thanks to successful fundraising, generous donations, and a grant from VOREC, the program is offered for free for the 2025 ski season.

Donations are welcome and will go to support the support of the program.

Register today so we can get you in the schedule. We do our best to accommodate individual preferences but cannot guarantee that all preferred times can be offered.

We look forward to skiing with you this winter! Contact Cathy Webster with questions, or if you would like to volunteer.
